8 year old Yaksha thinks he isn’t special until one day he learns a 200 year old secret about his family. Now he thinks it’s his mission to save a dying traditional Indian dance form. Can an 8 year old really make a difference?
Yaksha , wonderful story of a child discovering his past and identity. Discovering the power of art , here yakshagana , is empowering. The story weaves cultural history into a mordern day story telling. A Art by itself may not make us a 'better' person but surely gives us a great tool to find ourselves in the context of society we live in.
This story introduces children to the dying art/dance from Yakshagana. An interesting way to introduce the art to a kid. Wonderfully presented short story with artistic impressions. A don't miss for Kannadigas!
